We met each other working in Xavier Pujol. Right from our very start in the interior design department, we started to manage the company?s image, and the industrial design of exclusive pieces, besides designing the catalogue style. Afterwards, we started off with NOVA+, which you can check out on www.novamas.biz.
I became a designer because we grew up, and one day our body just asked for it. As a matter of fact, it told us: ?designing is creating, my friends?. Ever since, our light bulb turns on whenever we press our brain?s switch. When darkness falls down, we enjoy the absence of light, knowing that the next day we will only long for it more.
The feature I look for in a lamp is that it makes us see the light. The names of our creations come through what the piece itself suggests, + what the wind whispers. Our proposals provide the emotions that they yield their owners to the houses and spaces where they are located, so I guess we should ask them. Light is the promise of sweet darkness, and it always requires a well-chosen lamp
IRMA (Colgantes): The idea for this lamp was born in the old part of town of an Italian city, whose name I?d rather not remember. I wanted to create a piece that yielded something different (modesty aside). To me, Irma is the start of a new adventure
UDON (Apliques): This piece was born when I got fed up of searching for a wall lamp for my place. I wanted to create a lamp that offered good lighting, and a decent design. To me, Udon is quite decent, and it gives good light. Not bad for a wall lamp, right?
